Our story
The farm has deep roots in history. The Genovesi family has been engaged in agriculture for over four generations. Recent research in the family archive has confirmed that as early as the mid-1800s it produced olive oil, wine, wheat and raised livestock, also granting them— as was customary until the 1960s— under soccida, sharecropping and tenancy, to local farmers.
The current Antonio Genovesi farm was reborn in Boville Ernica in 2021 with the aim of restoring the olive groves and the family’s historic olive mill, for the production of high-quality Extra Virgin Olive Oil. The olive groves cover an area of about four hectares just outside the village of Boville Ernica and are currently in conversion to organic. The mill, on the other hand, is located in the historic center of the town and has recently undergone a conservative restoration. It houses the historical museum of oil and the olive tree and can be used as a venue for agricultural training courses and tastings.
Already active in 1892, the company has been listed since 2022 in UnionCamere’s "National Register of Historic Italian Companies".
